Eolya blends the use of traditional construction methods and local materials with cutting edge digital craft techniques which enabled the realisation of unique elements of the house. 

The house makes uses of locally sourced materials such as Naxos marbles, terrazzo flooring, Votsaloto, mineral renders and stone sourced from the local marble industry instead of importing industrial products from abroad reducing the carbon footprint of the house.

CEILING WOOD VAULTS

An important feature of the house are the living room wood ceiling vaults. The wood ceiling is in fact a lost formwork that integrates decorative qualities with a light strategy. The wood ceiling adds warmth and amplitude while complementing a local material palette composed of mineral materials.

BESPOKE MARBLE ITEMS

The residence comprises state of the art bespoke marble elements that were specifically designed. These included a curved kitchen island decorated with vertical marble lath, the design of marble showers and sinks as well as unique wall tilings for the bathrooms which were carved on premium blocks of Naxos marble.
